The price of a song

What is the price of a song? The price of a CD? How one measures the price of art? It seems that there is no clear answer to that question. One sets a price that (s)he believes a piece of art is worthy. In this case, a recorded, digitally copied piece of music composition(s).
And if it sells, it's OK. If it doesn't, it's OK nevertheless, because the value of a good recording doesn't go down in price.   read more »

Easter morning

Easter morning (in the Orthodox Christian world).
There is a great mystery in the Resurrection.
Believe it or not.

This Mystery is well preserved and presented in the Easter church service. it's like we are in the depth of an ocean and we can breath and walk freely... And the silence, calmness & wonder are there. In and around us. And the feeling of absence of gravity.  read more »

Almost Easter. We are off with Ginka to church to sing. I made nice spinach/cheese pie, she made some cookies (gurabii) for the Easter Breakfast, to share after the Liturgy.

Great Saturday

Great Saturday is sunny. Preparing some food for tonight. We will be singing starting 11.45 till 2.30am, then breakfast, then helping with tidying up and finally getting home very late (or early morning).

Good Friday

Of course, in the English language it's called Good Friday, not so much Great Friday as I mentioned earlier.
As to why that word is used, here's a nice article:
Anyway, the singing tonight was great, the choir sounded really good. It's a beautiful service, and a day of thinking, really.
