| Story. In the first half of 2007 I am writing love
tunes - whether with or without lyrics. UG comes from Utrinsko
Galenje (Утринско Галење)
meaning Morning Hugging. It's a tune for
gentle awakening. Starts very slowly and lazy, and as the
morning progresses, it gets faster and more dynamic. |
| Instruments:
Clean
Electric Guitar, playing the main melody. Other
instruments include
acoustic guitar, bass-guitar, percussion and keyboards
(woodwind section and chromatic percussion) |
| Musically,
this tune uses the
Natural Major, Pentatonic and Country scales. But the way
they are played is a fusion of Western and Eastern playing,
with a lot of ornaments. There is a Macedonian folk song, Ajde
Slushaj Kalesh Bre Angjo (Ајде Слушај Калеш
Бре Анѓо) which is built around a
lovely Pentatonic Major scale. I play part of that tune that
tune actually just before the last repetition of the main
melody (at 5'24'').
To me, there is
definitely a Macedonian warmth in this tune. |
