Meditera Nea: Song of the Month August 2009, Gigs, etc

Catching up with new technology and events, I decided to start writing a monthly newsletter. Feedback is always appreciated.

There are three topics in this first issue:

Introducing The Yugoslavs
The Yugoslavs is a duo formed by me (right on the photo) and Jurand Zygadlo.
We started rehearsing together in June 2009 and in August we are starting with a few 20-30 minute slots in smaller venues around London, UK.
The repertoire is Balkan World Fusion, uneven rhythms and much lyrical content.
In other words, Bach meets BB King on a Bouzouki.

We had our first appearance a few days ago at The Library, Islington and it was truly magical. You can read about that gig here

Song of The Month is a monthly promotion of the music that I create and publish on Meditera.co.uk. It consists of one track that is selected for that month as a free download. Usually it's a newly created track, sometimes a track that survived the test of time.

The song of the Month for August is called "Muse". Just finished mixing it a few days ago. A Hip-Hop Instrumental on Electric Guitar.
