so?
I, Viktor Mastoridis, the owner of this website and
author of most of the music here, am an Independent Musician.
I love the freedom of expression that this
independence brings. It's the pure bread and water - no - the air,
the breathing for an artist.
The biggest problem I got since I started doing
web-sales was - what price would I set for the music I
make?
I am not greedy, I know it. But in order to get
time to create, I need to make some money out of it. To buy time.
Since after 4 years I couldn't come up with a price
that would let me sleep well, I decided to pass that to you,
dear audiophile.
I create music with love, passion, emotions
- it exposes the deepest, most intimate parts of my soul. I am too
subjective as to determine its value. Too connected with it -
every tune is like a child to me.
But you are not me. You may be just curious
as to what music I create, or little bit more than curious, or
maybe this music means much to you.
That's what I don't know, and that's why I can
accept any price for it.
Maybe you live in a place where the salaries are
not as big as in the UK? Where £2 is already huge amount of money?
I don't know, and I would like to find out. I am
open-minded as to any price that you will set.
Yes, I trust you - that's the only way we can
communicate.
And I hope that you will find this music
meaningful to you, that you will connect with it.
Because at the end, the the sole purpose of
it.
